Frequently Asked Questions

There are several reasons why we choose to sell our product for much less than our competition; most of our manufacturing is done by machine shops with whom we have long established relationships. Because we use these shops for manufacturing other products that we design we are able to secure very low prices due to volume. We also do not have a huge overhead to pay for. Most of our marketing is done by word of mouth.

People are emotional beings. We automatically think that a more expensive product must be better. This couldn’t be more far from the truth.  There are thousands of similar products in various industries that have huge price differences but many times the least expensive ones are much better in quality and functionality.

Wataboard is a superb product. It is made with high quality standards and designed with performance in mind. Everything from the hose, to metals, down to the smallest screw, we took great care in fabricating and designing our product. Performance wise Wataboard is on par with the high priced brands and in some ways is even better.

We designed the pump connector to fit 99% of most jet skies. If your ski has a 4 stroke engine than it will fit. Jet skies such as a Sea Doo Spark have smaller engines and jet pumps so they will not be compatible with our connector. You also do not want to use such a low horse power jet ski because anything less than 130 HP is not going to be able to pump the volume of water needed to lift a rider above surface more than 10 feet.
As mentioned before you definitely need a powerful jet ski, one that can lift a rider well over 20 or more feet above water. There are many great jet skies available with horse power rating of 200+. If you are planing on purchasing a powerful jet ski for hydro flight sports, we recommend staying below 260 HP. Anything more than that is simply a waste of money.
When we started designing the Wataboard we tested many different hose sizes. We tested hoses from 101mm all the way to 152mm. Eventually we settled on 115mm because it was the perfect balance between rider experience, jet thrust, and jet ski fuel efficiency. A 115mm diameter hose allows for greater volume of water flow than a 110mm hose. This translates to much greater thrust at lower engine RPM. So you fly higher and save fuel at the same time.
Currently we are focused on building the best “jet board” style device on the market. But, we are in the development stages of other very cool and exciting devices.
We are always happy to offer any advice regarding rental operations. We have many customers who own and operate rental businesses. We will be glad to pass our knowledge to you.

In order to connect the hose to the back of the pump there must be some attachment fitting to allow for quick connection and disconnection of the hose. The Wataboard comes with this nozzle/attachment. You will have to take everything off the back of your pump so that the pump is exposed. Once you can access the stock venturi/nozzle you’ll need to take it off the pump. You will attach our nozzle to the pump. Once the nozzle is attached you can then quickly connect or disconnect the hose or U pipe from your boat.

Once your stock nozzle is taken off you have no way of using the steering and reverse. You will need to purchase our steering adapter that has a quick connect. This adapter will allow you to quickly go from boating mode to fly mode. Your reverse bucket should have enough space to clear the steering adapter. But before purchasing our steering adapter please contact to verify. Not all jet boats are the same.

If your boat is longer than 10 feet you will need to extend the standard hose by the length of your boat. This will require a purchase of our hose extension kit. If your boat is longer than 10 feet your boat is heavier than a jet ski. The person flying on the Wataboard has to be careful not to reach the end of the hose. Once the hose is tugged the rider will mostly likely fall. So a use of a heavy boat is not recommended but you can connect the standard hose with the extension directly to the back nozzle without the U pipe and have the rider fly at the back of the boat. The operator of the boat throttle must be careful not to let an inexperienced rider get too close to the boat. At all times the rider and the throttle operator must be aware of each other proximity.
